We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in the ACT region and help deliver a diverse portfolio of commercial and civil infrastructure projects. You will plan, coordinate and deliver projects from start to finish, collaborating with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and on-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
  • Registration with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or eligibility preferred.
  • Strong technical, planning and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects.
  • Manage RFIs, design coordination, variations and change events.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with current drawings, specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and monitor project programs in consultation with Project Managers.
  • Oversee subcontractors, procurement, material tracking and project deliverables.
  • Manage project financials including forecasting, cost reporting and productivity tracking.
  • Prepare and assist with monthly progress claims, cash flow reporting and project forecasting.
  • Monitor WHS, QA and environmental compliance across projects.
  • Assist with internal audits, risk management and WHSEQA implementation.
  • Coordinate and prepare project documentation, reports and meeting minutes.
  • Mentor and support Site Engineers and junior project staff.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Drive project outcomes while maintaining safety, quality and commercial performance standards.

The Opportunity

As our commercial building pipeline continues to grow, we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of high-quality commercial construction and civil infrastructure projects across the ACT and surrounding regions.

As our Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating and delivering projects from commencement through to completion. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget and to the highest quality standards

Key Responsibilities

About You
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Registration with Engineers Australia, CPEng and/ or eligibility to be Nationally Registered
  • Strong technical, planning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Sound financial and contractual awareness.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Ability to obtain or hold relevant site-based certifications and inductions
  • Engineers Australia registration or ACT Registered Engineer highly regarded
  • Must have Australian work rights at the time of application
