Job summary

Ivory Group in Canberra is seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Site Engineer to support the delivery of multi-residential projects. You will work under the Project Manager and engage across the full project lifecycle, gaining exposure to large-scale builds.

This role offers hands-on mentoring, strong leadership guidance, and a clear progression pathway toward a Project Manager position within a stable, pipeline‑rich environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification preferred in a related discipline.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer within multi-residential construction.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate RFIs and manage consultant responses.
• Assist with procurement and subcontractor scopes.
• Quality control and site inspections.
• Program and track progress against the schedule.
• WHS compliance and site safety management.
• Coordinate trades and subcontractors on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Assist with variations and cost tracking.

As they expand their team, they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer or Site Engineer to come on board and grow with them.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of multi-residential projects across Canberra. This role suits a Project Engineer or Site Engineer looking to build their experience on larger scale residential builds, with exposure across the full project lifecycle and a clear path towards a Project Manager position.

DUTIES

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Coordinating RFIs and managing consultant responses
• Assisting with procurement and subcontractor scopes
• Quality control and inspections on site
• Programming and tracking progress against the schedule
• WHS compliance and site safety management
• Coordinating trades and subcontractors day to day
• Assisting with variations and cost tracking

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline is preferred
• Experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer within multi-residential construction
• Strong communication and organisational skills
