Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads in Queensland seeks a Program Officer (Procurement) to support end-to-end procurement for transport infrastructure. Join Transport and Main Roads’ Program Delivery & Operations team and play a key role in delivering Queensland’s transport future. As a Program Officer (Procurement), you’ll work collaboratively with program and project managers to support a range of procurement activities that contribute to the successful delivery of the Queensland Transport and Road Investment Program (QTRIP).

As a Program Officer (Procurement), you will support the Region's contribution to the Queensland Transport and Road Investment Program (QTRIP), helping deliver projects and programs that benefit communities across Queensland.

Working within a collaborative regional team, you will provide procurement expertise and support across a range of activities. Partnering with program and project managers, you will contribute to the delivery of end-to-end procurement processes that support the successful planning, delivery and management of transport infrastructure projects.

In This Role, You Will

• Support clients to achieve procurement outcomes that align with business objectives.
• Monitor procurement performance, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

To Be Successful, You Will Demonstrate

• Knowledge of procurement principles, policies and procedures, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using business, finance or project management systems. Experience with SAP and 3PCM, or similar systems, is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A commitment to customer-focused service and compliance with procurement requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

• A criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment due to access to sensitive information.
• There are no mandatory qualifications; however, Level 1 and Level 2 Queensland Procurement Certification Program qualifications would be advantageous.
