• Strong writing, editing and research skills.
• Experience developing communication or community engagement materials.
• Ability to adapt communication for community, executive and government audiences.
• Understanding of community engagement and stakeholder relationship practices.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyse information to prepare ministerial and executive briefing notes and correspondence.
• Develop community engagement plans, key messages and targeted communication strategies for road and transport projects.
• Prepare newsletters, flyers, roadworks advice, displays and other project communication materials.
• Draft media releases, social media content and responses to media enquiries.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with community members, government representatives and other stakeholders.
• Support project teams to communicate consistently and respond to community needs.
