The Role

Follow the Dream: Partnerships for Success is a voluntary, academic enrichment program for aspirational Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Years 7 to 12 across Western Australia. The program supports students to excel academically, complete secondary school and pursue a range of post‑school pathways, including university, Vocational Education and Training (VET), apprenticeships, traineeships and meaningful employment opportunities.

The successful applicant will ideally be resourceful, organised, collaborative and student‑focused, with the capacity to build strong, purposeful relationships with students, families, staff and community stakeholders. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the executive team to strengthen the identification, recruitment and selection of students into the program, while supporting students through individualised education and pathway planning that encourages participation and success.

You will work closely with teachers, parents, tutors and key stakeholders to ensure each student’s academic, wellbeing and pathway goals are actively supported and continuously monitored. Liaison with partner schools and program stakeholders is a critical component of the role; therefore, strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills are highly desirable, particularly to expand engagement and increase program reach.

We are seeking applicants who are committed to continuous improvement, culturally responsive practices and ongoing professional learning, with a focus on innovation and program growth. It is highly desirable that applicants can effectively utilise digital technologies to enhance both administrative efficiency and educational outcomes, supporting engagement and broadening access to the program.

• A statement addressing the following selection criteria:

• Demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning practices, particularly relating to Aboriginal students and their communities.
• Demonstrated extensive skills and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating learning programmes and strategies at a school, region or system level.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage physical and financial resources.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership that builds capacity, deals effectively with change and generates innovative solutions related to achieving educational outcomes.
• Demonstrated highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to conduct research, prepare reports and establish effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes.
