Job summary

The Role

The Program Coordinator, Access and Inclusion should provide strategic leadership across the school’s inclusion, learning support, disability and intervention programs. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful applicant would lead a coordinated whole-school approach that promotes inclusion, belonging and high expectations for students with diverse learning needs. They will ideally develop the capability of Teachers, Education Assistants and Support Staff to implement evidence-based inclusive practices that strengthen students’ access, participation, engagement and achievement.

Working collaboratively with Students, Families, Teachers, Student Services, School Leaders and external agencies, the Program Coordinator would oversee student identification, case management, inclusive education planning and the monitoring of student progress. The successful applicant should use student data and contemporary educational practice to guide targeted support, evaluate the impact of interventions and contribute to continuous school improvement. The role includes leadership and line management of the Education Support team and may include a teaching load of up to 0.4 FTE, determined by qualifications, experience and operational requirements.

• Manage the transition of students with identified additional needs from primary to secondary school, working closely with families, schools and specialist services.
• Lead EALD processes, including progress mapping, data collection, support planning and professional learning for staff.
• Oversee the workforce planning, deployment, professional growth and collaborative practice of the Education Support team.
