The role requires strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus experience with mission‑critical systems in a fast‑paced financial setting. Weekend work is required occasionally, with on‑site delivery in Sydney.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience supporting production or mission‑critical systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with traders, quants, and engineers.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system‑level issues under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python and Bash scripts to monitor the health and performance of a production environment
• Monitor and support a distributed Linux‑based trading system
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering on server imaging, testing, deployment and configuration
• Serve as a liaison between the trading desk and network, security, market data, and platform teams
• Provide multi‑level production support for traders, strategists, and researchers
• Help improve reliability, automation, and efficiency across the trading stack
