Optiver in Sydney is seeking a senior/staff/principal level Production Software Engineer. You will work on infrastructure, tooling, and workflows enabling deployment, operation and observation of a high-performance trading network.

You will own end-to-end changes, collaborate across operations and development, and focus on scalability, robustness, and reduced operational friction in production systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software engineering, designing and delivering scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of operating environments and how distributed applications run in production.
• Proactive mindset to simplify complex architectures and reduce operational friction.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of changes in production environments, from problem understanding to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve robustness and accelerate safe innovation.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and design reviews to scale the trading infrastructure.
