Job summary

Mermed Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a practical, organised Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations in Huntingwood. You will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are produced on time to the required quality, overseeing inventory, and planning production efficiently while supporting a small team.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong planning, and the ability to use data and KPIs to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and people coordination.
• Strong production planning and prioritisation skills.
• Experience with data-driven performance management (KPIs).
• Hands-on approach on the production floor.
• Lean/continuous improvement mindset and ISO-controlled manufacturing experience.
• Inventory, purchasing or production scheduling experience.
• Formal management/production qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly production priorities across production areas.
• Ensure orders are produced and supplied on time with OTIF focus.
• Manage replenishment and scheduling based on demand, stock, and capacity.
• Allocate work efficiently across equipment and areas.
• Monitor stock levels, cycle counts and discrepancies.
• Coordinate purchasing to ensure materials are available when required.
• Improve throughput, machine utilisation and reduce waste.
• Lead and develop the team with cross-training for critical processes.
• Maintain production standards, procedures and operating disciplines.
• Identify root causes of delays and implement practical improvements.
