Job summary

Joinery Lab Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based joinery and shopfitting company, is seeking a Production Manager (Manufacturing) to oversee day-to-day factory operations. You will ensure production targets, quality standards, project deadlines and safety requirements are met while coordinating resources and teams.

In this role you will drive efficiency and workflow improvements across the business, working closely with management, production and installation teams on high quality commercial joinery projects

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in factory production.
• Experience supervising factory production and/or installation teams.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows and quality control procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/shop drawings and production documentation.
• Exposure to CNC machinery is highly regarded for oversight and quality control.
• Strong organisational skills; ability to coordinate multiple projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and practical problem-solving.
• Able to work independently and with management/teams.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Willingness to travel interstate; valid manual driver’s licence and White Card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop production plans and procedures to support efficient manufacturing.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet deadlines and capacity.
• Manage day-to-day factory operations and maintain equipment.
• Monitor output, labour use and costs; adjust to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Provide updates on progress, capacity, delays and requirements.
• Oversee installation and integration of new machinery and equipment.
• Review production methods to improve processes and quality.
• Maintain production documentation and reports; ensure safety compliance.
• Lead factory personnel to work efficiently and safely.
• Guide staff and facilitate communication between factory, project and installation teams.
• Monitor finished products for compliance with specifications and quality.
