WorkPac - Brisbane is seeking experienced Machine Operators to join a high-volume steel manufacturing team. You will operate machinery used to produce steel mesh, bar, coils and related building products, performing pre-start checks and setting up equipment.

The role requires a strong work ethic, reliable transport, and good English communication. Shifts include day and afternoon, with starting on day shift before potentially moving to afternoon.

• Proven experience operating production machinery.
• Ability to set up machinery and troubleshoot faults.
• Ability to read and understand workplace instructions.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence.

Our Client is a steel manufacturing business supplying building products to the construction industry. They are seeking experienced Machine Operators to join their busy, high-volume production team, operating machinery used to manufacture steel mesh, bar, coils and associated building products.

What You Will Be Doing

Conduct pre-start checks on PCX production machinery

Operate bending and production machinery safely and efficiently

Set up machinery and troubleshoot operational issues

Pick and assemble building accessories and steel products

Load and assemble steel mesh, bar, coils and associated products

Load and unload vehicles with steel products and accessories

Use loading PCs and RF scanners to process stock

Maintain workplace cleanliness and organisation

What You Will Need

Previous machine operating experience is mandatory

Experience setting up machinery and troubleshooting faults

Experience in steel or heavy manufacturing environments

Good written and verbal English communication skills

Ability to read and understand workplace instructions

Drivers Licence + Reliable transport

Reliable, self-motivated approach with a strong work ethic

What’s in It for You?

$37 per hour

Day shift: 5:30am–1:06pm

Afternoon shift: 1:30pm–9:30pm

Start on day shift for the first few weeks before transitioning to afternoon shift, if required
