Job summary

Transcend Workforce in Sydney area is seeking an experienced Machine Operator for a reinforcement steel workshop in Wetherill Park. You will operate cutting and bending machines in a fast-paced environment, with paid training provided on day shift.

The role requires reading basic drawings, taking measurements, and adhering to safety and quality procedures. The position is a full-time on-site role with Monday to Friday shifts.

• AM Shift | 6:00am - 2:00pm | $39.15 per hour
• PM Shift | 2:00pm-10:00pm | $45.03 per hour
• Monday to Friday Full time casual

Machine Operator | Reinforcement Steel | Wetherill Park

Transcend Workforce is seeking experienced Machine Operators from steel reinforcement, sheet metal, aluminium or heavy manufacturing backgrounds to join a busy steel reinforcement workshop in Wetherill Park.

You’ll be operating cutting and bending machines in a fast-paced environment, with paid training provided on day shift.

Duties will include

• Operate steel cutting and bending machines
• Monitor machines during operation
• Check finished products against bar schedules
• Follow company safety and quality procedures
• Complete training to operate different machines
• Keep your work area clean and tidy

To be successful, you’ll have:

• A strong focus on safety and quality
• Basic hand tool skills to set up machines and bundle finished products (training provided)
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• The ability to read basic drawings and take accurate measurements
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check
• Must have working rights in Australia that allow you to work full-time hours

Experience from a heavy manufacturing environment is essential for this role.
