Machine Operator (BBBH1159) Smeaton Grange, Sydney, Australia

Salary: AUD38.5 - AUD38.5 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous steel or sheet metal experience looking for a long term position within a fast paced production environment.

ROLE

• Operate a range of sheet metal production machinery including roll formers
• Set up and monitor machinery to ensure production targets are met
• Read and interpret production drawings and specifications
• Measure and check finished products for quality and accuracy
• Safely move steel and finished products throughout the production area
• Operate a forklift or overhead crane
• Complete general production and manual handling duties
• Follow all workplace health, safety and quality procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in steel, sheet metal, or a similar manufacturing environment
• Experience operating production machinery
• Ability to read and interpret technical or production drawings
• Forklift licence and/or overhead crane experience highly advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Safety focused with good communication skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands on, physically demanding environment
