Production & Loading Operators – Day & Afternoon Shift

Mesh & Bar Pty Ltd – Pakenham, VIC

$38.53–$43.15 per hour casual + overtime opportunities

Mesh & Bar is expanding our Pakenham team and is currently recruiting for multiple positions across Loading and Machine Operation, with opportunities available on both Day and Afternoon Shift.

We manufacture reinforcing steel products for the construction industry and are looking for reliable people who want stable, long-term work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, steel, cranes, forklifts or machine operation is highly regarded, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important. We can train suitable candidates.

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on the position, duties may include:

• Operating manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Loading and moving steel products.
• Using overhead gantry cranes and forklifts.
• Preparing and checking customer orders.
• Reading production paperwork and job requirements.
• Performing basic quality checks.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Following workplace safety procedures.
• Working with the production and loading teams to meet daily requirements.

Pay Rates

Day Shift

• Casual rate: $38.53 per hour

Afternoon Shift

• Casual afternoon rate: $43.15 per hour

Overtime is available when required and paid at applicable penalty rates.

Successful candidates may initially commence casually while completing their training and probation period, with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right people.
