Job summary

Mesh & Bar is seeking 6 Machine Operators in Glendenning, NSW, for ongoing casual work with full-time hours and opportunities for permanency. Roles cover Offcoil, Lenton, Benders and general steel processing, with 4 positions involving overhead crane operation. Training provided for right candidates.

Day shift 6:00am–2:06pm and Afternoon shift 2:30pm–10:36pm, with regular overtime and some Saturday work. On-site recruitment day to meet the team; roles to be filled by October.

Glendenning, NSW | 6 Positions Available | Ongoing Casual | Full-Time Hours | View to Permanent

Mesh & Bar is currently seeking 6 reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join our steel manufacturing facility in Glendenning.

These are ongoing opportunities with full-time hours, a pathway to permanent employment, regular overtime and occasional Saturday work. Training will be provided for the right candidates.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting across a range of machine operation roles, including Offcoil, Lenton, Benders and General Steel Processing.

4 of the 6 positions will require Overhead Crane operation.

• Day: 6:00am - 2:06pm
• Afternoon: 2:30pm - 10:36pm

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, steel processing, machine operation or a similar environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a hands-on, physically demanding environment.
• Ability to follow production instructions and use basic measuring equipment.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.

Highly regarded:
Overhead/Gantry Crane experience, Forklift license, steel manufacturing experience, threading or machine operation experience.

What You'll Do

Depending on the position, you may be responsible for:

• Operating and setting up steel processing machinery.
• Cutting, threading and processing reinforcing steel.
• Loading and moving steel materials safely.
• Performing quality checks and basic machine maintenance.
• Following production schedules and maintaining a safe and organised work area.

Recruitment Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete relevant pre-employment checks, which may include medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening and reference checks.

We are also looking to hold an on-site Recruitment Day at our Glendenning facility, providing shortlisted candidates with an opportunity to meet the team and learn more about the roles.

Positions are required to be filled by October.
