About the Role:

The Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing strategies across a varied portfolio of pharmaceutical products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving product performance beyond launch, expanding and strengthening portfolios through effective lifecycle management, supported by a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical or a comparable industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a diverse product portfolio, influence commercial strategy and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for your assigned portfolio, from setting direction and priorities through to execution and delivery, with full accountability for results.
  • Lead the development of annual portfolio plans, translating insights and analysis into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Drive the pipeline and innovation agenda, taking initiatives from ideation through to activation.
  • Build rigorous business cases for products and initiatives, using data to prioritise investment, drive market penetration and maximise profitability.
  • Translate customer insights, consumer trends, competitor activity and market dynamics into practical recommendations that mitigate risk and capture opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Utilise data sources such as Dispense Analytics, IQVIA, TGA and PBS data to generate insights and inform commercial decisions.
  • Maintain a current, forward-looking understanding of market and industry trends, proactively assessing their impact on portfolio performance.
  • Anticipate changes to pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, including SPD, PBS, private market dynamics and strategic agreements, incorporating these into portfolio and brand plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Medical, Regulatory and Supply Chain teams to deliver successful product launches and sustained portfolio growth.
Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences or a related discipline, with an MBA highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian prescription medicines landscape, particularly the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and market dynamics impacting pharmaceutical portfolios and product pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical regulations and industry frameworks, including SPD, PBS, GBMA, Medicines Australia and TGA advertising requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in product or brand management within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or a comparable industry.
  • Experience in new product development, project management, creative development, brand architecture and lifecycle management.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated P&L literacy, forecasting and demand‑planning capabilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookup functions, PivotTables and complex formulas, with demonstrated experience analysing large datasets to generate actionable commercial insights. Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint is also required.

  • The opportunity to work autonomously and take ownership of your success.
  • Convenient head office location close to public transport, cafés and restaurants.
