Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads in Queensland seeks a Program Officer (Procurement) to support end-to-end procurement for transport infrastructure. You’ll work with program and project managers, provide procurement advice, coordinate processes, and help deliver the QTRIP program for communities across Queensland.

This role emphasizes collaboration, stakeholder relationships, and compliance with departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of procurement principles, policies and procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with business, finance or project management systems (SAP/3PCM desirable).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Effective communication and relationship-building with stakeholders.
• Commitment to customer-focused service and compliance with procurement requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate procurement advice and support per departmental frameworks.
• Deliver procurement activities and assist stakeholders with processes and requirements.
• Undertake end-to-end procurement activities: planning, evaluation, negotiations and contract administration.
• Support clients to achieve procurement outcomes aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor procurement performance, identify risks and contribute to continuous improvement.
