Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) seeks a Process/Production Engineer to embed in Des Moines, IA operations. You will drive safety, quality, efficiency, and throughputs while guiding technology improvements and daily plant performance.

The role partners with operators and supervisors, leading project development from concept through start-up, tracking costs and yields, and updating standard operating procedures to sustain excellence.

Qualifications

• B.S. in chemical, mechanical, electrical, agricultural/biological systems, and industrial technology engineering preferred, or pursuing a related degree or equivalent experience.
• Plant/Industrial experience preferred but not required.
• Project management experience is helpful.
• Strong safety focus and dedication to quality.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and support site goals.
• Oversee projects including budget tracking, equipment installation, and startup.
• Propose improvements to facilities, equipment and safety programs.
• Interact with shift supervision to achieve operational results and develop staff.
• Participate in safety, environmental, quality, and food safety programs.
