Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company is seeking a Plant Process Engineer in Clinton, IA. The role applies engineering principles to new and existing operations, from process design to evaluating new technologies while ensuring safety, quality, production, and cost objectives.

You will develop process models, support capital projects and startups, and collaborate with production to implement APC and optimization tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in plant operations.
• Familiarity with OSHA and PSM standards.
• Experience with process control systems.
• Understanding of food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Experience reviewing PFDs/P&IDs and assisting with commissioning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop process models to understand and benchmark plant performance.
• Support capital projects and startups and apply ten core Process Engineering competencies.
• Partner with Production to implement APC and optimization applications.
• Coach, mentor, and train engineering colleagues across functions.
• Collaborate with safety, production, maintenance, energy and cost accounting teams.
