Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company in Decatur, IL is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the site engineering team in day‑to‑day problem solving, project development, and technical development of engineers. The role reports to the Plant Manager and drives safety and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in process and project engineering, with experience managing projects up to $5M and coordinating with technology and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years in process/project engineering with process optimization experience.
• Project management experience up to $5M USD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site engineering team including process engineers, project engineers, construction managers, CAD operator, and one administrative professional.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for plant process and project engineers through coaching, collaboration, and training sessions.
• Promote safety and a culture of continuous improvement; lead process safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with Technology Engineering on process optimization projects and capital portfolio planning.
• Manage capital projects up to 5M USD; coordinate with Capex and EPCM teams through FEL processes.
