Job summary

ADM in Decatur, IL is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to provide plant support for process automation systems, guiding operations, troubleshooting, and applying global standards. You will collaborate with Operations and Technology Centers to execute projects and advance standardization and documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, performance excellence, and the ability to manage multiple projects while communicating clearly and coaching colleagues.

Qualifications

• Safety and other EHS requirements compliance.
• Knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations for process and safety interlocks.
• Develop or modify process automation controls and troubleshoot hardware/software deficiencies.
• Maintain documentation of automation hardware/software.
• Work well within groups or with minimal supervision.
• Communicate status updates and suggestions for improvements.
• Pursue industry training and certifications for this position.
• Ability to coach and develop colleagues.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects.
• Aware of cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Work with third-party suppliers/contractors.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, climb stairs, lift 40 pounds, and work in confined spaces.
• On-call rotation availability.
