Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company is seeking a Process Safety Engineer in Marshall, MN to own the ADM Process Safety program, including PSM and PDP systems. Based at the Marshall Corn Plant, the role may liaise with other plants in the unit and reports to the Safety Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a Chemical Engineering degree with 5+ years of PSM experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of PSM experience in chemical manufacturing or agricultural processing facilities.
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills with a results-focused approach.
• Strong leadership, change management and project/program management skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills; proactive communicator.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safety culture across the facility with risk reduction and incident prevention.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report PSM performance; advise management on improvements.
• Provide Process Safety training to plant leadership and engineers.
• Conduct Process Safety Compliance Audits and assessments.
• Organize and maintain technical process safety documentation.
• Lead Process Safety Risk Assessments and incident investigations; share best practices.
• Perform project design, development, and management for PSM improvements.
• Review and approve/correct MOC requests and safety devices related to changes.
