Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Hinchinbrook in Queensland seeks a Process Operator – Pan Boiler Assistant to support the production of high-grade sugar. You will monitor and control batch pans, assess crystal size and massecuite quality, and adjust processes to meet quality standards.

This permanent on-site role involves shift work during the crushing season (June–Dec), with weekends and overtime, plus maintenance work in Jan–May.

Qualifications

• Experience with pan boiler operation or sugar processing is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication is essential; familiarity with UHF communications.

Responsibilities

As a Pan Boiler Assistant at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables,you will be responsible for the production of high-grade sugar. This includes monitoring and controlling batch pans, assessing crystal size and massecuite quality and making required changes to ensure sugar quality is met.

This is a permanent position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season (June - December), including weekends and overtime and day work during the maintenance period (Jan - May).

Your Winning Combination

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (including familiarity communicating via UHF) and demonstrable ability to work alongside a range of different people. Basic mechanical skills will be highly regarded.

While the following qualifications are requirements in this role, training will be considered for people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:

• Maintenance skills which are also highly desirable include; Trade qualifications, Rigger, Dogger and Scaffolder High Risk Work Licences
