Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia is seeking a Crushing Assistant for Kalamia Mill in the Burdekin Region. The permanent role covers shift work during the crushing season, weekends and overtime, plus day work during maintenance periods.

The role includes operating turbines along the milling train and monitoring shredders, and associated equipment. On-the-job training will be provided where aptitude and team fit are evident.

Qualifications

• Turbine High Risk Work Licence required.
• Working at Heights Ticket required.
• Confined Space Ticket required.
• Maintenance skills including trade qualifications, rigging, dogging, scaffolding licences.

We are looking for a Crushing Assistant to join our team at Kalamia Mill, in the Burdekin Region. This is a permanent role at our sugar processing facility that involves shift work during the crushing season, including weekends and overtime, as well as day work during the maintenance period.

The Crushing Assistant is responsible for operation of turbines along the milling train as well as monitoring the condition of and attending to the operation of shredders, alternators and associated equipment.
