As a Boiler Assistant with Wilmar Sugar & Renewables you'll be at the core of our operations, assisting the Boiler Operator with overseeing critical equipment, ensuring optimal steam generation and maintaining plant efficiency. This hands‑on role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and relevant performance standards.
This position will be based at Kalamia Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work.
During the crushing, this position operates on a continuous rotating shift roster, which may include weekends and occasional overtime. Once the crushing is complete and the Mill enters the maintenance period, the role switches to a day work schedule.
We're looking for someone with a "can do" attitude, sharp attention to detail and is dedicated to high-quality standards. Our ideal candidate will hold a High-Risk Work License for Turbine Operator (TO) and an Advanced Boiler Operator (BA) certification or is willing and able to achieve the competencies.
