Job summary

Synertec, ASX-listed, seeks a Process Engineer to deliver innovative process solutions for major clients. You will lead scoping, FEED, and detailed design across diverse industries, ensuring compliance and quality while working within multi-disciplinary teams.

You will contribute to risk assessment, equipment selection, and testing, with opportunities for business development and professional growth within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments and applying quality principles.
• Hands-on, collaborative, with design project experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical work across multiple projects from greenfield to brownfield upgrades.
• Scoping, concept design, FEED, equipment selection, through testing and commissioning.
• Participate in HAZOPs/CHAZOPs per project requirements.
• Apply process engineering knowledge across client portfolios.
• Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams and interact with clients.
• Assist in business development, proposal writing, and tender submissions.
• Engage in ongoing training and development programs.

About the Role:

We are seeking a collaborative and driven Process Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for industry-leading clients.

Reporting into the Team Manager and playing a critical role to our success, your responsibilities will include:

• Day-to-day technical delivery across multiple projects ranging from longer term greenfield projects to upgrading and/or refurbishment of brownfield facilities.
• Hands on involvement with scoping, concept design and FEED development, equipment selection, detailed design, through to testing and commissioning stages.
• Involvement during Risk Management activities such as HAZOPs and CHAZOPs as per project and client requirements.
• Applying sound technical knowledge of process engineering activities across a range of clients and industry portfolios.
• Working collaboratively within dynamic multi-disciplinary project teams, involvement in progress meetings and client interactions.
• Assisting in business development activities as required, involvement in proposal writing and tender submissions with clients.
• Ongoing training and development including a mixture of practical & theoretical in-house and external training programs.

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field, this can be Chemical/Process Engineering, and other related engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience working within GMP-regulated environments and applying compliance, validation, and quality principles across engineering projects.
• You will have a hands on and collaborative nature, with proven experience across either small to large scale process design related projects.
• You will ideally have proven project experience in process simulation and design, flow sheeting, P&ID Drafting and equipment Selection.
• You will have proven experience in a highly regulated or high-risk industry;Water, Life Sciences, Transport, Energy & Resources and Defence & Manufacturing.
• Engineering consultancy experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.
• You must be an effective and influential communicator, with proven skills dealing directly with clients on project requirements and specifications.
• We are looking for this person to grow with the business, ideally you will be self-driven with the willingness to learn and develop.
