Job summary

Synertec is seeking a collaborative Process Engineer to deliver innovative solutions for industry-leading clients, reporting to the Team Manager and contributing to scoping, design, and FEED development across diverse projects.

You will engage in risk management, process simulation, P&ID drafting, and equipment selection while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting business growth. A growth-oriented, learning-focused environment awaits.

Qualifications

• GMP-regulated environment experience and compliance understanding.
• Hands-on, collaborative with project experience in process design.
• Experience in flow sheeting, P&ID drafting, and equipment selection.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day technical delivery across multiple projects ranging from longer term greenfield projects to upgrading and/or refurbishment of brownfield facilities.
• Scoping, concept design and FEED development, equipment selection, detailed design, through to testing and commissioning stages.
• Involvement during Risk Management activities such as HAZOPs and CHAZOPs as per project and client requirements.
• Applying sound technical knowledge of process engineering activities across a range of clients and industry portfolios.
• Working collaboratively within dynamic multi-disciplinary project teams, involvement in progress meetings and client interactions.
• Assisting in business development activities as required, involvement in proposal writing and tender submissions with clients.
• Ongoing training and development including a mixture of practical & theoretical in-house and external training programs.

About the Role:

We are seeking a collaborative and driven Process Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for industry-leading clients.

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field, this can be Chemical/Process Engineering, and other related engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience working within GMP-regulated environments and applying compliance, validation, and quality principles across engineering projects.
• You will have a hands on and collaborative nature, with proven experience across either small to large scale process design related projects.
• You will ideally have proven project experience in process simulation and design, flow sheeting, P&ID Drafting and equipment Selection.
• You will have proven experience in a highly regulated or high-risk industry;Water, Life Sciences, Transport, Energy & Resources and Defence & Manufacturing.
• Engineering consultancy experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.
• You must be an effective and influential communicator, with proven skills dealing directly with clients on project requirements and specifications.
• We are looking for this person to grow with the business, ideally you will be self-driven with the willingness to learn and develop.
