Job summary

Synertec is seeking a collaborative Project Scheduler with Primavera P6 expertise to lead the scheduling for multiple critical infrastructure projects. You will work with Project Managers and technical teams to establish baselines, milestones, and resource needs, monitor progress, and deliver look‑ahead reports and forecasting for clients.

You will contribute to project controls, change management, and scheduling reporting while engaging with contractors and stakeholders to drive schedule

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Project Scheduler/Planning/Controls for large infrastructure projects.
• Strong hands-on Primavera P6 with ability to build and manage detailed project schedules.
• Proven experience coordinating with multiple contractors and stakeholder groups.
• Effective communicator with project teams, contractors and clients.

• Develop, maintain and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 across multiple projects and disciplines.
• Define baselines, milestones, critical paths and resource requirements with Project Managers and technical teams.
• Monitor schedule performance, identify risks and delays, and propose recovery actions.
• Prepare schedule updates, look‑ahead reports and forecasting for internal and client stakeholders.
• Support project controls activities including change management and schedule reporting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and run planning workshops.

About the Role:

We are seeking a collaborative and driven Project Scheduler with P6 experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for industry-leading clients.

• Developing, maintaining and managing detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 across multiple projects and disciplines.
• Working closely with Project Managers and technical teams to establish project baselines, milestones, critical paths and resource requirements.
• Monitoring project progress, analysing schedule performance and identifying risks, delays and opportunities for schedule recovery.
• Preparing schedule updates, look-ahead reports, project performance metrics and forecasting information for both internal and client stakeholders.
• Supporting project controls activities including change management, schedule reporting and the coordination of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Working collaboratively within dynamic multi-disciplinary project teams, facilitating planning workshops and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of project planning, scheduling and reporting processes, alongside ongoing training and development opportunities.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in a Project Scheduler, Planning Engineer or Project Controls capacity supporting critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience, using Primavera P6, with the ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules.
• You will have demonstrated experience supporting large, complex design packages involving multiple contractors and stakeholder groups
• You will have a hands-on and collaborative nature, with proven experience supporting projects through various stages of the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to commissioning and handover.
• You will have proven experience working within a highly regulated or high-risk industry; Water, Life Sciences, Transport, Energy & Resources, Defence & Manufacturing or similar.
• You must be an effective and influential communicator, with proven skills engaging with project teams, contractors and clients on project requirements and delivery outcomes.
