Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a proactive Regulatory/Compliance role to help maintain safety, amenity and liveability across the Sunshine Coast region. You will work within the Regulatory Response Services Branch, applying local laws and guiding residents and businesses on compliance.

Ideal candidates will bring experience in regulatory requirements, strong communication, and a collaborative approach to education and enforcement.

Qualifications

• Experience applying legislation, policies or regulatory requirements with integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to engage with the community and explain regulatory obligations clearly.
• Experience in compliance, enforcement, inspections or community engagement is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive patrols to monitor compliance with local laws.
• Investigate compliance matters, gather evidence and support enforcement actions.
• Deliver community education programs promoting responsible practices.
• Advise residents and stakeholders on local laws and compliance requirements.
