Job summary

Davidson is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Sydney to provide technical leadership across strategic platforms underpinning our lending and enterprise services. You will shape the engineering direction, drive platform modernization, AI-enabled engineering practices and secure, scalable solutions at scale.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with product, architecture, risk and business stakeholders, and champion DevSecOps, observability, and automation to deliver meaningful

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technology for financial services platforms.
• Experience with LoanIQ or comparable enterprise lending platforms is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration, operational resilience and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction for strategic platforms.
• Provide architectural leadership across core platforms and the surrounding integration ecosystem.
• Design scalable, secure and resilient services across APIs, backend platforms and enterprise integrations.
• Champion engineering excellence including AI-enabled SDLC, DevSecOps, observability, quality engineering and automation.
• Build strong working relationships with the suppliers of our core platforms.
• Mentor senior engineers and uplift engineering capability across the crew.
