Job summary

Commonwealth Bank is modernising risk management by building an enterprise‑grade Risk AI Platform on an AWS‑first stack. You will lead engineering for secure microservices, APIs, and agentic AI capabilities, driving reliability, tests, and scalable deployment practices.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and data teams, and ensure compliance with tech controls while delivering measurable risk‑reduction outcomes across the platform.

Qualifications

• Deep software engineering experience in .NET and Python with production microservices.
• Hands-on with AWS and Kubernetes in scalable, secure environments.
• Experience designing REST APIs and OpenAPI contracts.
• Strong emphasis on observability, CI/CD, and security in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering for Risk AI Platform services and REST APIs at scale.
• Lead architectural refactors, modularisation, and reliability improvements.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and code reviews.
• Establish golden paths for CI/CD and automated testing.
• Embed observability with Grafana/Prometheus and SLOs/SLIs.
