Job summary

Davidson is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Sydney to provide technical leadership across strategic platforms underpinning our lending and enterprise services. You will shape the engineering direction, drive platform modernization, AI-enabled engineering practices and secure, scalable solutions at scale.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with product, architecture, risk and business stakeholders, and champion DevSecOps, observability, and automation to deliver meaningful

• Experience delivering technology for financial services platforms.
• Experience with LoanIQ or comparable enterprise lending platforms is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration, operational resilience and regulated environments.

About the Role

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across the strategic platforms that underpin the client's capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping the engineering direction for core Lending platforms and supporting services, driving platform modernisation, AI-enabled engineering practices and resilient, scalable solutions that support the bank's lending operations.

You will bring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking and engineering leadership to help teams deliver high-quality technology safely at scale while partnering with Product, Architecture, Risk and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.
