Job summary

Fuse Recruitment partners with a government organisation in Brisbane to place a senior claims specialist. You will analyse property and liability risks, determine premiums and terms, and provide technical insurance advice to senior stakeholders.

This is an immediate-start, 3-month contract with potential extension, offering meaningful responsibility and exposure to risk management strategies across a broad portfolio.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a senior claims or technical insurance role.
• Strong knowledge of property and liability insurance products.
• Experience assessing risk exposures and supporting premium-setting decisions.
• Property claims experience highly regarded, particularly with underwriting experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess insurance risks and determine appropriate premiums, rates and terms of cover.
• Analyse property and liability exposures across a diverse insurance portfolio.
• Review claims trends and risk data to support claims decisions.
