Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Presales Solution Architect – Google Cloud who thrives at the intersection of technical consulting, solution architecture, and partner enablement in Australia.

You will work closely with Google Cloud, channel partners, and delivery teams to identify, position, and win cloud opportunities in Australia. You will design cloud transformations, build scalable solutions, and develop business cases to accelerate adoption and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical presales, solution architecture or customer-facing cloud roles.
• Strong expertise across Google Cloud Platform services (infrastructure, data, analytics, security, AI).
• Ability to develop technical proposals, scopes, estimates, and professional services engagements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify Google Cloud opportunities with partners.
• Design secure, scalable Google Cloud architectures across infrastructure, data, analytics, security, and AI workloads.
• Deliver workshops, demonstrations, and technical assessments showcasing Google Cloud value.
• Develop Statements of Work, effort estimates, solution scopes, and pricing recommendations.
• Collaborate with Google Cloud, partner leadership, sales, and delivery teams to build pipeline and enable delivery.
• Translate business challenges into practical cloud transformation outcomes.

Working closely with Google Cloud, channel partners, sales teams, and delivery specialists, you will help partners identify, position, and win cloud opportunities while developing scalable solutions and services that drive business growth across Australia.

As a Presales Solution Architect, you will act as a trusted advisor to partners and customers, helping them design cloud transformation strategies, shape technical solutions, and build compelling business cases. You will play a key role in partner-led growth by combining technical expertise, commercial awareness, and stakeholder engagement to support successful cloud adoption and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Working with partners to identify, qualify, and develop Google Cloud opportunities that align with customer business and technology objectives.
• Designing secure, scalable, and commercially viable cloud architectures utilizing Google Cloud services across infrastructure, data, analytics, security, and AI workloads.
• Delivering workshops, demonstrations, technical assessments, and proof-of-concept engagements that showcase the value of Google Cloud solutions.
• Developing Statements of Work, effort estimates, solution scopes, technical proposals, and pricing recommendations that support successful project delivery and services growth.
• Collaborating with Google Cloud, partner leadership teams, sales teams, and delivery specialists to build capability, generate pipeline, and accelerate cloud adoption.
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor, helping partners and customers translate business challenges into practical cloud transformation outcomes.

What we need to see from you

• Experience in technical presales, solution architecture, consulting, or customer-facing cloud technology roles.
• Strong expertise across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including infrastructure, networking, security, data, analytics, and AI services.
• Experience supporting partner-led, channel-focused, or indirect sales motions within the technology industry.
• Ability to develop technical proposals, Statements of Work, solution scopes, effort estimates, and professional services engagements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence technical teams, business leaders, and partner executives.
• Passion for helping organizations adopt cloud technologies and achieve measurable business outcomes.
