Job summary

SoftwareOne in Melbourne, Australia, is seeking a Presales Solution Architect – Microsoft Fabric, Data & AI, who thrives at the intersection of technical consulting, partner enablement, and solution sales. You will help design innovative Data & AI solutions and drive partner-led growth across ANZ.

You will collaborate with Microsoft, channel partners, and delivery teams to position and deliver Data & AI offerings, shaping scalable architectures and compelling business cases.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical presales, solution architecture, consulting, or customer-facing tech roles focused on Data, Analytics, AI, or Cloud solutions is required.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Data & AI technologies, modern analytics platforms, and cloud-native data architectures.
• Experience supporting partner-led or indirect sales motions within the tech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop Microsoft Fabric, Data & AI opportunities aligned to customer needs.
• Design secure, scalable architectures leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Microsoft AI, and modern analytics platforms.
• Deliver workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements to showcase Data, Analytics, and AI value.
• Develop Statements of Work, effort estimates, solution scopes, and technical proposals.
• Collaborate with Microsoft and partners to build capability, generate pipeline, and accelerate growth.
• Translate business challenges into practical Data & AI outcomes for partners and customers.

Working closely with Microsoft, channel partners, sales teams, and delivery specialists, you will help design innovative Data & AI solutions while driving partner-led growth across Australia and New Zealand.

As a Presales Solution Architect, you will act as a trusted advisor to partners and customers, helping them identify opportunities, shape technical solutions, and build compelling business cases around Microsoft Fabric and modern Data & AI platforms. You will play a critical role in developing scalable architectures, supporting presales engagements, and enabling partners to successfully position and deliver Data & AI solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Working with partners to identify, qualify, and develop Microsoft Fabric, Data & AI opportunities aligned to customer business needs.
• Designing secure, scalable, and commercially viable architectures leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Microsoft AI technologies, and modern analytics platforms.
• Delivering workshops, assessments, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements that showcase the value of Data, Analytics, and AI solutions.
• Developing Statements of Work, effort estimates, solution scopes, technical proposals, and commercial recommendations to support successful project delivery.
• Collaborating with Microsoft, partner organizations, sales teams, and delivery specialists to build capability, generate pipeline, and accelerate growth opportunities.
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor, helping partners and customers translate business challenges into practical and measurable Data & AI outcomes.

What we need to see from you

• Experience in technical presales, solution architecture, consulting, or customer-facing technology roles focused on Data, Analytics, AI, or Cloud solutions.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Data & AI technologies, modern analytics platforms, and cloud-native data architectures.

• Proven ability to develop technical proposals, Statements of Work, solution scopes, effort estimates, and services-led engagements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business decision-makers.
