Job summary

Joval Wines Pty is seeking an experienced Area Business Manager to represent our premium wine portfolio across Sydney's inner-city on-premise market. You will work directly with restaurants, bars, hotels, sommeliers and beverage managers to assess requirements, explain wine characteristics and develop sales opportunities.

You will identify applications for wines, demonstrate product quality and provide informed recommendations to support customers' beverage programs and purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in wine sales, wine distribution or related B2B sales environment.
• In-depth knowledge of wine products including varieties, regions, vintages and pairing.
• Ability to explain technical product information and differentiate wines to customers.
• Experience conducting product presentations, tastings, or technical consultations to support sales.
• Proven ability to identify prospective customers, develop opportunities and negotiate terms.
• Strong consultative selling, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Commercial awareness including pricing, discounts, margins and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Represent our premium wine portfolio to Sydney's inner-city on-premise customers.
• Develop new business through tastings, consultations and commercial negotiations.
• Explain wine attributes and recommend suitable products for customer beverage programs.
• Travel regularly within the assigned territory to visit clients and close sales.
• Gather market intelligence and feedback to support sales and product strategies.
