Job summary

Bupa Medical Carlton in Sydney is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to support the practice by supervising day-to-day operations, recruitment, rostering, and financial oversight. You will lead a busy front desk team, coach staff to achieve KPI targets, and drive continuous improvements in patient experience.

With 4+ years in a senior front desk role in a GP or allied health setting, you will be tech-savvy, an excellent communicator, and capable of stepping in as Acting Practice Manager when

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in a busy front desk administration role at a senior level within a GP or allied health practice, or hospital setting essential.
• Proficiency in Best Practice software highly regarded.
• Strong communicator with ability to build rapport quickly.
• Tech-savvy and adaptable, with the ability to pick up new systems with ease.
• A natural problem-solver who takes initiative and gets things done.
• Able to multitask and work accurately at pace in a busy clinical environment.
• Confident working independently and managing the practice in the Practice Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with day-to-day operations including recruitment, rostering, team performance reviews, and financial oversight.
• Coach and develop the team to achieve KPI targets and practice goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the patient experience.
• Assist in facilitating regular team meetings and maintaining effective communication across the practice.
• Manage front desk operations and patient interactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Step up as Acting Practice Manager in their absence, taking ownership of rostering, staff performance, financial monitoring, and timesheet approvals.
