Job summary

Bupa Medical Carlton is seeking an Assistant Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for a busy GP and allied health clinic in Carlton, NSW. The role supports Clinicians, Operational Teams and the Practice Manager, with hands-on leadership and hands-on rostering, recruitment and financial oversight.

Working a standard 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, the position is fixed-term until mid-2027 with potential for extension or permanency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in a busy front desk administration role at a senior level within a GP or allied health practice, or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with day-to-day operations including recruitment, rostering, team performance reviews, and financial oversight.
• Coach and develop your team to achieve KPI targets and practice goals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the patient experience.
• Assist in facilitating regular team meetings and maintain effective communication across the practice.
• Manage front desk operations, handling patient interactions and calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Step up as Acting Practice Manager in their absence, rostering, staff performance, financial monitoring, timesheet approvals, and order processing.
