Job summary

Bacchus Marsh Medical Centre, located in Bacchus Marsh VIC, invites applications for a motivated nurse to join our team across multiple clinics: Bacchus Marsh, Maddingley, and Darley Medical Centre.

The ideal candidate will have general practice experience, be eligible for AHPRA registration, and bring skills in care planning, health assessments, and vaccines. You will work both independently and within a team to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a practice nurse in General Practice.
• Experience with care plans and health assessments.
• Familiarity with Best Practice software.
• Current AHPRA registration and medical indemnity insurance.

Responsibilities

• Recalls and stock controls including vaccines.
• Vaccinations and childhood immunisation.
• Wound management and plastering.
• Care plans and health assessments.
• Clinical support and patient history enhancement.
• Participation in accreditation and infection control.
• ECG, Spirometry, Cryotherapy and Ear suction.
• Aged care responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and clinical information.
• Multitask across clinical duties.
• Willingness to use own car when required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse to join our team at Bacchus Marsh Medical Centre, Maddingley Medical Centre and Darley Medical Centre.

Previous experience in General Practice as a practice nurse and also experience in doing care plans and health assessments is desirable.

Previous experience with Best Practice software is also desirable.

There will be variety in the role including the following:

• Recalls and stock controls including vaccines
• Vaccinations and childhood immunisation
• Wound management and plastering
• Care Plans, Health Assessments
• Clinical support
• Patient history enhancement
• Participation in accreditation
• Infection control
• ECG, Spirometry, Cryotherapy and Ear Suction
• Aged care
• Current AHPRA registration
• Current medical indemnity insurance
• Current Australian driver’s license and willingness to use own car when required
• Ability to deliver quality clinical care with a positive patient care focus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrate confidentiality with patient and clinical information
• Ability to multi task

The position will be permanent part-time, 4 days per week, plus alternate Saturday mornings, non-negotiable.

Monday to Friday hours vary between 8:30am - 5pm and 9am - 5:30pm. Saturday hours are 9am - 1pm.
