Job summary

Balwyn Health Medical Centre in Melbourne is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to join our friendly team. The role supports GPs in a brand-new facility, with 9:00-17:00 or 9:30-16:30 hours, providing wound care, minor procedures, immunisations, and patient care in a supportive environment.

You will hold current AHPRA RN registration, have experience in general practice, and be comfortable using Medical Director/Pracsoft.

Qualifications

• RN registration with AHPRA is required.
• Experience in a general practice setting preferred.
• Knowledge of immunisation schedules.
• Experience with Medicare item numbers.
• Proficient use of practice software (Medical Director/Pracsoft).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Confident running flu vaccine clinics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and empathetic approach to patient care.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) registration with AHPRA.
• Knowledge of chronic care management (e.g. diabetes, care plans, etc)
• Experience in a general practice setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of the current immunisation schedules.
• Experience with Medicare item numbers.
• Excellent Computer skills with knowledge of Medical Director/Pracsoft (or similar practice software).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Confident running flu vaccine clinics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to patient care.
