The Clinic 279 in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team on a full-time basis with an immediate start available. You will work with our four GPs and front-desk staff to ensure smooth running of our nursing services within primary care.

Qualifications

• RN registration with AHPRA is essential.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Flexibility and a positive approach to change are valued.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience providing nursing care in a General Practice setting.
• Experience in program coordination/oversight (e.g., CDM).
• Immunisation Accreditation Certificate is required.
• Current CPR Certificate is required.

• Lead and support the Practice leadership team to ensure high quality care.
• Deliver quality patient care and continue to build nursing skills.
• Promote a positive, cohesive culture for efficient operations.
• Implement Chronic Disease Management programs to support patient care.
• Provide wound care and immunisation services.
• Assist with stock control and maintain budgeted costs.
• Manage cold chain storage and vaccine ordering.
• Support the Practice Accreditation process when required.
• Contribute to risk management and quality improvement.
• Communicate with hospitals and local health services.

The Clinic 279 is a highly regarded medical practice Melbourne’s northern suburbs. It was first established in 1939 and from that time, all that work at our clinic have been committed to delivering excellence in patient care.

We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team on a full-time basis, with an immediate start available.

Supported by our four GPs and front-desk staff, you will be responsible for all aspects of the smooth running of our nursing services, essential to the delivery of excellent Primary Care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Contribution to the Practice leadership team including a commitment to ensuring high quality care, managing strategic change and supporting Practice sustainability
• Nurturing & building your skills in order to deliver quality patient care
• Driving a positive and cohesive culture to ensure performance, efficiency and adherence to policies across the team.
• Implementation of Chronic Disease Management programs to support patient care and reduce the administrative burden on GPs
• Wound care skills
• Immunisation
• Stock control and ordering within budget
• Cold Chain Management including Vaccine storage and ordering
• Assisting the Practice Accreditation Process as required (next in 3 years)
• Contribution to risk management and quality improvement processes
• Communicating with various organisations such as hospitals, local health services and the NWPHC

Essential Skills

• Current RN registration with AHPRA
