Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in a general practice or similar healthcare setting preferred.

• Proficient in using medical software (Best Practice).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and nursing passion.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, injections, and other treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records in Best Practice software.
• Competent with care planning and senior health assessments.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for seamless patient care.
• Provide health education and advice to patients.
• Maintain infection control and workplace safety standards.
• Perform wound care, ECG, and spirometry.
• Assist GPs with procedures such as iron infusions and excisions.

Golden Beach Medical Centre is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our busy practices. This is a casual position to start (ideally 2-4 days a week) with availability for leave cover as needed, with the potential for the successful applicant to transition into a permanent PT role.
As a member of our dedicated healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our medical practice.

What You'll Be Doing

• Administering medications, injections, and other treatments as required
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation on Best Practice software
• Competent with Care Planning and Senior Health Assessments
• Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• Providing health education and advice to patients
• Maintaining a high standard of infection control and workplace safety
• Performing other general nursing duties as needed to support the practice including wound care, ECG, spirometry
• Assisting general practitioners with patient procedures eg iron infusions and excisions

What We’re Looking For

• Current AHPRA registration
• Ideally previous experience in a general practice or similar healthcare setting
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with patients and the healthcare team
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using medical software eg. Best Practice
• Commitment to continuing professional development and a passion for nursing
