Job summary

Balnarring Medical Centre is seeking an experienced RN General Practice nurse for casual shifts, covering 1-2 days per week with 9.00am-5.00pm weekday hours. The practice offers a supportive, flexible environment and above award rates in a seaside village on the Mornington Peninsula, just 20 minutes from Mornington.

Responsibilities include general care, triage, dressings, assisting with procedures, immunisations and chronic disease care coordination, with recall systems and Best Practice

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Div 1 nurse.
• Current CPR Certification.
• General Practice Nurse experience preferred.
• Strong administrative skills.
• High level computer skills (practice uses Best Practice software) experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to navigate government programs, PRODA access.

Job description

Balnarring Medical Centre is a GP owned, long established and accredited practice, in a lovely seaside village on the Mornington Peninsula. We are only 20 minutes from Mornington. We have many long-term patients and a strong community focus.

We are seeking an experienced RN General Practice nurse for casual shifs, with the availability to cover holiday leave and absences.

We provide a supportive, flexible workplace environment with a friendly team. We pay above award rates.

The position we are offering is 1-2 days per week, part-time.

Nursing shift hours are generally 9.00am-5.00pm weekdays only, with flexibility for suitable candidates.

The Practice Nurse

Including but not limited to:

General care,

Triage management,

Dressings,

Assisting with procedures,

Immunisations,

Assist GPs with chronic disease care and care coordination, health assessments and care plans,

Team based approach,

Manage recall and reminder systems and computer-based results recall system,

Qualifications and Experience

Current unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA,

Div 1 nurse

Current CPR Certification,

General Practice Nurse experience preferred

Strong administrative skills,

High level computer skills (practice uses Best Practice software) experience preferred although not essential

Knowledge of and ability to navigate government programs, PRODA access.
