Job summary

Como GP is seeking a dedicated Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in Western Australia. You will collaborate with Practice Directors, doctors, nurses and administration to lead a busy general practice.

The role involves implementing policies, managing HR processes, coordinating supplies and driving quality improvement while maintaining a supportive, professional workplace culture. You will also work with external bookkeepers on financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in practice management and overseeing staff.
• Available full-time or part-time (min 3 days per week).
• Organised, proactive and takes ownership of the role.
• Experience managing recruitment, performance reviews and conflict resolution.
• Knows MBS, PIP, WIP and PIP QI programs.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Providing overall leadership, supervision and management of the practice.
• Supporting a positive, collaborative and professional workplace culture.
• Driving continuous quality improvement across the practice.
• Developing, reviewing and maintaining practice policies and procedures.
• Coordinating medical, clinical and stationery supplies.
• Managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance appraisals and conflict resolution.
• Preparing and overseeing staff rosters.
• Coordinating and chairing staff and clinical meetings.
• Overseeing financial management, including budgets, payroll, financial planning, accounts and debt recovery.
• Working closely with the external bookkeeper to oversee accounts and financial reporting.
