Job summary

National 360 is seeking an experienced Core or above Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in South East Sydney. The role focuses on enhancing quality of life for NDIS participants through tailored, evidence-based PBS and collaborative practice.

You will conduct FBAs, design person-centred support plans, and build capacity among carers while ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines. A strong PBS background and current checks are essential.

Qualifications

  • Endorsed at Core or above PBS level and include Letter of Suitability from the NDIS Commission.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Full Australian working rights and access to a vehicle with a current driver's licence.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Experience in community, private, or acute settings with PBS knowledge.

  • Relationship building with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and actively reducing restrictive practices in line with NDIS guidelines.
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify needs.
  • Designing and implementing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans.

About The Role

This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for NDIS participants and their support networks through tailored, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support. We are currently seeking a dedicated practitioner to join our team. Offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our established service environment.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Relationship Building: Providing and developing strong, collaborative relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Practice: Ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines by reviewing and actively reducing restrictive practices.
  • Assessment: Conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying needs.
  • Support Design: Designing and implementing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that promote positive change.
  • Capacity Building: Providing education and training to carers and support teams to build capacity and confidence.
  • Data Analysis: Collecting and analysing data regularly to monitor progress and inform ongoing support strategies.
About You

To ensure the best outcomes for our participants, we are specifically seeking applicants who are currently endorsed and actively working at a Core or above level under the PBS Capability Framework. Please ensure you include your Letter of Suitability from the NDIS Commission as part of your application.

  • You hold a relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching, or Social Sciences).
  • You have full Australian working rights.
  • You have prior experience in community, private, or acute settings.
  • You demonstrate sound NDIS clinical knowledge, with demonstrated experience in completing formal assessments and developing robust Behaviour Support Plans in a PBS role.
  • You have access to your own vehicle and hold a current driver's licence.
  • You have an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
