About the Role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:
- Collaborate with management to drive the growth and development of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team.
- Develop and implementindividualised, evidence-based behaviour support plansin line with NDIS guidelines.
- Conductfunctional behaviour assessmentsto identify participant needs and develop person-centred strategies.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and support teams to deliver sustainable and practical outcomes.
- Deliver training to support staff and stakeholders, empowering them to implement behaviour strategies effectively.
- Maintain compliance withNDIS Quality and Safeguards standardsthrough accurate documentation and reporting.
About You
To excel in this role, you'll bring:
- A degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
- Must be registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at a Proficient level (or higher).
- A minimum of 2 years' proven experience in Positive Behaviour Support or working with individuals within the NDIS framework.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with participants and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities to manage a varied caseload.
- A proactive approach with a passion for empowering others and creating positive outcomes.
- Current registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., AHPRA, SPA).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, and Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (km reimbursement provided).
