Job summary

PC Ability, part of The Procare Group, invites applications for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner in Sydney. You will lead a new PBS service, build a varied caseload, and contribute to high-quality NDIS outcomes.

You will develop evidence-based plans, perform functional assessments, and collaborate with families to deliver practical, sustainable supports. A degree in a related field and professional registration are required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to drive growth of the PBS team.
  • Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based behaviour support plans per NDIS guidelines.
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify needs and plan strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, carers and support teams for sustainable outcomes.
  • Deliver training to staff and stakeholders to implement behaviour strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards through accurate documentation.

About the Role
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, You Will
  • Collaborate with management to drive the growth and development of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team.
  • Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based behaviour support plans in line with NDIS guidelines.
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify participant needs and develop person-centred strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and support teams to deliver sustainable and practical outcomes.
  • Deliver training to support staff and stakeholders, empowering them to implement behaviour strategies effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards standards through accurate documentation and reporting.
About You
To Excel In This Role, You'll Bring
  • A degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Must be registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at a Proficient level (or higher).
  • A minimum of 2 years' proven experience in Positive Behaviour Support or working with individuals within the NDIS framework.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with participants and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities to manage a varied caseload.
  • A proactive approach with a passion for empowering others and creating positive outcomes.
  • Current registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., AHPRA, SPA).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, and Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (km reimbursement provided).
