Job summary

National 360’s Brisbane North team is seeking a Core or above Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver person-centred supports to NDIS participants across community, clinic, and telehealth settings.

You will conduct FBAs, design Behaviour Support Plans, and train carers while maintaining high standards of NDIS compliance and data-driven planning. A relevant degree and Australian work rights are required.

Qualifications

  • Established PBS Practitioner at Core level or above; evidence of suitability letter from NDIS Commission.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, OT, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Teaching).
  • Full Australian working rights (or pending).
  • Prior experience in community, private or acute settings.
  • Experience as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Demonstrated NDIS clinical knowledge and experience in formal assessments and BSP development.
  • Own a vehicle and hold a current driver’s licence.
  • NDIS Workers Check and willingness to obtain a Blue Card.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with participants, families and stakeholders.
  • Conduct FBAs to identify underlying needs.

  • Provide education and training to carers and support teams.
  • Review and reduce restrictive practices to ensure NDIS guidelines compliance.
  • Collect and analyse data to monitor progress and inform support strategies.

About The Role

This Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner position offers a chance to deliver meaningful support to NDIS participants across community, clinic, and telehealth settings.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for NDIS participants and their support networks through tailored, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong, collaborative relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  • Conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying needs.
  • Designing and implementing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that promote positive change.
  • Providing education and training to carers and support teams to build capacity and confidence.
  • Ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines by reviewing and actively reducing restrictive practices.
  • Collecting and analysing data regularly to monitor progress and inform ongoing support strategies.

About You

We believe that talented clinicians are developed and nurtured, not just found through an exhaustive list of requirements. With that being said, there are a few requirements for our PBS practitioners, which are:

  • An established PBS Practitioner operating at a Core level or above (evidence of letter of suitability from the NDIS Commission also required as part of your application).
  • You hold a relevant bachelor's degree (e.g., Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, or Teaching).
  • You have full Australian working rights (or pending).
  • You have prior experience in community, private or acute settings.
  • Have worked as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • You demonstrate sound NDIS clinical knowledge, with demonstrated experience in completing formal assessments and developing robust Behaviour Support Plans.
  • You have access to your own vehicle and hold a current driver's licence.
  • You have a NDIS Workers Check and have or willing to get a Blue Card.
