Job summary

YMCA Warwick is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Pool Lifeguards to join our team. You’ll supervise pool activities, enforce safety rules, provide first aid, and deliver excellent customer service to members and visitors.

Ideal candidates will hold a current Pool Lifeguard Award, First Aid and CPR, and be able to work collaboratively in a team. A National Police Check and Blue Card are preferred or willingness to obtain them.

Qualifications

• A current Pool Lifeguard Award.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A current First Aid and CPR qualification, or willingness to obtain.
• A current National Police Check issued within the last six months, or willingness to obtain one.
• A current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool users and enforce aquatic safety rules and guidelines.
• Identify potential hazards and take appropriate action to minimise risks.
• Administer first aid and CPR when required.
• Monitor, report and document incidents, hazards and safety concerns.
• Complete routine pool testing and maintenance in line with legislative and health requirements.
• Assist patrons with enquiries and create a welcoming, positive experience.
• Complete required administration, incident reporting and follow-up.

About the Role

As a Pool Lifeguard, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a safe aquatic environment for our members and visitors.
