Job summary

Wake Up! Byron Bay is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead our evening bar operation at the Byron Bay hostel, delivering memorable experiences for guests with professionalism and energy.

The role covers long shifts from 12:00 to 22:00 seven days a week with options for full-time or part-time/casual; you will manage a small team, oversee stock, tills, and end-of-night reporting, and help create a welcoming, high-standard bar atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a bar operation, especially busy evening shifts.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Experience with cash handling, stock control and reporting.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bar Supervisor to lead our evening bar operation and help create an experience our guests will remember.

• Minimum 4 days per week, including Friday and Saturday nights
• Bar operates 12pm – 10:00pm, 7 days a week
• Full-time or part-time/casual opportunities available
• Lead and support a team of 1–3 staff, depending on trade levels
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of the bar during your shift
• Help create a fun, welcoming and energetic atmosphere for our guests
• Oversee guest activities and ensure they run smoothly
• Manage stock levels, tills and end-of-night reporting
• Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and presentation
• Work independently and confidently manage busy shifts
